PROVO, Utah – The BYU women's basketball team moved up one spot to No. 17 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Monday.

The Cougars are 14-1 and have started 4-0 in West Coast Conference play to earn a place in the poll for the eighth consecutive week. The program's record for most consecutive appearances in the poll is nine, set in 2006 when BYU finished No. 22 in the final AP Poll.

The one loss the team suffered this year came on the road at Oklahoma in overtime. The Sooners are currently ranked No. 14.

With an average margin of victory of 19.1 points, the Cougars lead the WCC and rank No. 11 nationally. BYU also ranks No. 17 in scoring offense at 78.7 points per game.

Coming off back-to-back 40-point wins over Saint Mary's (78-36) and LMU (77-37) last week, the Cougars face two more road matchups this week with Pepperdine on Thursday and San Diego on Saturday.
