BYU stays ranked at No. 20
PROVO, Utah – The BYU women's basketball team remained in the Associated Press Top 25 at No. 20 after suffering its first loss of the season at Oklahoma last week.
The Cougars (8-1) are ranked for the third consecutive week for the first time since 2007, when BYU was ranked for four weeks in a row to start the year.
The team dropped four spots from last week's No. 16, the school's highest ranking ever, after losing an overtime game on the road to 9-1 Oklahoma, 99-91. The Sooners are receiving votes and just outside of the top 25.
Senior guard Tegan Graham set the single-game school record with 10 three-pointers in the game against Oklahoma.
The Cougars beat two ranked teams (No. 17 Florida State, No. 22 West Virginia) to win the St. Pete Showcase and also have wins over Arizona State, Utah and Fresno State, the favorite to win the Mountain West Conference.
BYU hosts Washington State on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. in the Marriott Center. The game will be broadcast on BYUtv.org and the BYUtv App.
