PROVO, Utah — Tied with Saint Mary’s for second place in the latest West Coast Conference standings, BYU women’s basketball (14-11, 9-5) is at home hosting three-straight league foes.

The Cougars begin the week battling Pepperdine (9-15, 5-9) Thursday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. MST. The game will be carried live on BYUtv and on the internet at byutv.org.

ABOUT BYU

  • Has had 23 games with at least two players finishing with double-digit points, last in the overtime road loss at San Francisco.

  • Averages 67.7 points and 38.4 rebounds while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from the 3-point line and 67.4 percent from the charity stripe.

  • Nationally, BYU ranks seventh in both blocked shots and in blocked shots per game.

  • Senior guard Cassie Broadhead Devashrayee ranks seventh in free throw attempts and fifth in both free throws made and in minutes played.

  • Freshman center Sara Hamson ranks second in blocked shots per game and in blocked shots.

  • In 18 games, BYU has tallied more blocks than its opponents.

  • It has recorded more assists in 10 games and pulled down more rebounds in a total of 11.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE (PEP)

  • The Waves have compiled a 9-15, 5-9 record and are in sixth place in the WCC regular-season race.

  • PEP has wins over Santa Clara, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and LMU in league play.

  • On the road, Pepperdine has a 0-7 mark in conference games.

  • Head coach Delisha Milton Jones is in her first season at the helm of the PEP basketball program.

SERIES HISTORY

  • BYU leads the series with the Waves 16-2.

  • In the first game of this year’s league race, the Cougars picked up a 73-67 win in Malibu on January 11.

  • Pepperdine has not won a game in the Marriott Center since BYU joined the WCC.
