PROVO, Utah— Senior guard Lexi Eaton Rydalch has been named Associated Press Women’s Basketball All-America Honorable Mention. This is the second straight honor for Rydalch by the Associated Press.

Rydalch has also been invited to participate in the 3-point competition at the 28th Annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-point Championships at the Final Four in Houston. The 3-point competition is on Thursday, March 31 and will be carried live on ESPN. She’s the second Cougar player to be invited to the 3-point challenge. Kari Gallup won the competition in 1998.

During the 2015-16 season, Rydalch became the all-time leading scorer for men and women in the West Coast Conference with 2,535 career points. She ranks second all-time at BYU in scoring in women’s basketball. She was named the 2016 WCC Player of the Year and made the WCC Women’s Basketball First Team.

Rydalch averaged a league and team high 24.2 points per game. She also averaged 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals in her final season as a Cougar.

BYU finished the season with a 26-7 record, clinched its first WCC regular season crown and made its 12th overall, eighth under coach Jeff Judkins and third straight NCAA tournament appearance.
