PROVO, Utah — BYU Guard Lexi Eaton Rydalch has been named Madness West Coast Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her exceptional performance during the past week’s action.  This is her third honor by collegesportsmadness.com this year.

College Sports Madness identifies the players who have had the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis each Monday.

Rydalch, a 5-foot-10 guard from Mapleton, Utah and Springville High School, had a total of 41 points in last week’s games including 18 in the upset win over reigning West Coast Conference regular season champion, Gonzaga.

She had a game-high 23 points in the win over Portland on Saturday, which moved BYU into a tie for first place with San Diego in the latest WCC standings. Against the Pilots, she also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists and had two steals.

Rydalch leads the West Coast Conference in scoring.
