Seven women’s basketball players named to WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

PROVO, Utah— Seven BYU women's basketball players were named to the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their academic success in the 2014-15 academic year.

Senior Ashley Garfield is a four-time recipient on the gold honor roll and the first on the women’s basketball team after concluding her BYU career with 3.97 GPA. Garfield was also a two-time WCC Women’s Basketball Academic Team selection and a two-time WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention. The gold honor goes to student-athletes with GPAs above 3.75.

Junior Carly Stratton was named to the silver honor roll. These recipients must have a GPA of 3.50 – 3.75. Last year she made the bronze honor roll.

Teammates Lexi Eaton, Kristine Fuller, Kylie Maeda and Makenzi Morrison picked up bronze honor roll accolades for the second straight season, while it is the first for freshman Alohi Robins-Hardy. The bronze honor is given to those student-athletes with GPAs above 3.0.

Earlier this year both Eaton and Garfield were named to the 2014-15 WCC Women’s Basketball All- Academic Team, while Fuller, Maeda and Morrison were WCC Women’s Basketball All-Academic Honorable Mention.

The WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll is split into gold, silver and bronze honors, but all student-athletes must have also lettered in their sport.
