2014 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championships – travel day, Thursday

The No. 12 seeded BYU women’s basketball team is one of 64 team’s competing in this year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Championships. They begin their March Madness run with a game on Saturday against No. 5 seed North Carolina State in Los Angeles at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus.

The Cougars started their travel day with an early morning practice at the Marriott Center. Later that afternoon the team, athletic support staff and members of the BYU Cougar band and cheerleaders boarded two buses to Salt Lake City where the group took a short flight to Los Angeles. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, the team enjoyed a delicious dinner at Brunello Trattoria, an Italian restaurant in Culver City near the team hotel.

Friday the Cougars will have an opportunity to talk to local and national media representatives at an afternoon press conference followed by a practice at Pauley Pavilion.
