Tryout Policies & Conduct

You MUST have been admitted to BYU in order to tryout
Two Letters of Recommendation must accompany your application (to be mailed in prior OR brought with you to tryouts) Sent to: Attention: Jocelyn Allan, 206 SFH, Provo, UT 84602.
Audition fee of $20 CASH ONLY will be collected at registration & check-in
Document of Current Physical (within the past 3 months - Must be a from a Dr. NOT a Chiropractor)
No recording of tryout music
No video taping at any time
Cheer Squad Tryouts are CLOSED to family members & friends
No outside partners may be brought into tryouts. Only current members of the BYU Cheer Squad and others trying out will be permitted to participate.
Judges Decisions are FINAL
We will not discuss judges decisions following tryouts.

Informal judging will begin during the workshop phase and cuts may be made after the first day.
Give full attention to those providing instruction
Be responsible for yourself and act in a professional manner throughout the tryout process
Safety will always be our first priority. If you jeopardize your own safety or the safety of others, you will be asked to leave.
