Cribbs and Strauss compete at USA Diving Winter Nationals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — BYU divers Kennedy Cribbs and Mickey Strauss competed at the USA Diving Winter Nationals at Indiana University this week from Thursday, Dec. 16 through Saturday, Dec. 18.

Both athletes participated in the one-meter and three-meter individual springboard events, each competing against multiple Olympians who represented the U.S. in Tokyo.

Strauss earned a score of 242.15 in the men's one-meter event, then earned a 268.85 in the three-meter event.

Cribbs took eighth in the women's preliminary one-meter event with a score of 238.15, becoming the first female BYU diver to qualify for finals at the USA Diving Nationals in over a decade. She then went on to place ninth in the one-meter finals with a score of 485.60. She also earned a score of 189.00 in the three-meter event.
