BYU Cross Country Resumes 2020-21 Season

PROVO, Utah – BYU cross country will compete in the Silver State XC Challenge at Craig Ranch Regional Park on Monday, Feb. 1, as the program begins the spring portion of the 2020-21 season.

Meet Information

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association ranked the BYU men’s cross country team No. 2 in the nation and the women’s cross country team No. 3 in all three fall polls. The USTFCCCA will resume the weekly polls beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will face stiff competition at the Silver State XC Challenge as each “fast race” will have six teams competing that are currently ranked in the USTFCCCA polls.

The men’s 8K will start at 10 a.m. PST and will include No. 1 NAU, No. 2 BYU, No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 18 Washington, No. 24 Weber State, and No. 27 Air Force.

The women’s 6K is set to begin at 11 a.m. PST and will include No. 3 BYU, No. 4 New Mexico, No. 8 Washington, No. 13 Boise State, No. 18 Utah, and No. 26 NAU.

Both BYU teams will have “B” squads that will race shortly after. The second men’s race will start at 12 p.m. PST and the second women’s race will begin at 1 p.m.
