PROVO, Utah—BYU athletes will take donations of gently used or new T-shirts for the annual West Coast Conference T-shirt drive Saturday at the men’s basketball game and men’s volleyball match.

The T-shirts will be donated to underprivileged people around the world through the non-profit group Clothes4Souls.

The school that collects the most T-shirts (based on ratio of T-shirts to full-time students) will receive $1,000 for a charity of its choice. The second-place school will receive $500 for charity and the third-place school will receive $300.

Student-athletes will be at both Saturday events with bins to collect T-shirts. The men’s volleyball match starts at 7 p.m. MST at the Smith Fieldhouse and the men’s basketball game starts at 7 p.m. MST at the Marriott Center.

Last year, in the conference’s first T-shirt drive, the nine WCC institutions collected over 26,800 shirts.
