Cougar Kickoff and sale set for Tuesday

PROVO, Utah—BYU Athletics fires up for the fall 2012 season with the eighth annual Cougar Kickoff Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. on Haws Field. 

Athletes from the football, women's soccer, women’s volleyball and cross country teams will be available for autographs at the event and will run drills for fans to participate in.

At the event, Cougar Nation may purchase the 2012 BYU football poster for the first time as well as this season’s "Every Day Is Gameday" T-shirts from the BYU Bookstore. Only ONE poster will be available for purchase at $2. Following the Cougar Kickoff, posters can be purchased at the Bookstore for $5. No free posters will be provided at the Kickoff, but fans will receive free posters throughout the football season upon entering Lavell Edwards Stadium.

Attendees can purchase gourmet sliders from the Marley's truck at the event. Sponsor Coca-Cola will provide free Powerade for those in attendance and The Blind Actuaries will provide live music. Fans can also play on a rock wall, take pictures with Cosmo and the Spirit Squad and take pictures in photo booths.

The event is free and tickets are not required.

The Cougar Sale begins the same day at 5 p.m. at the Indoor Practice Field, located directly east of Haws Field. Cougar Nation may purchase game-worn apparel, jerseys, cleats and more at the sale.
