Cougar Kickoff Set For Tuesday

PROVO -- BYU fans will get their first chance to meet the 2010 Cougars at the seventh annual Cougar Kickoff presented by the Deseret News Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. on Haws Field, located just west of the Indoor Practice Facility.

This is an event for the entire family to meet and interact with the BYU football team, women's volleyball team, women's soccer team and men's and women's cross country teams. The men’s and women’s basketball teams will also be on hand along with the Cheer Squad, Cougarettes and Cosmo. There will be interactive games, food, prizes and live music from The Chevelles for fans of all ages.

Posters and magnets will be available along with autograph opportunities (fans are asked to bring only one item to be autographed). The 2010 football poster and football t-shirt will each be on sale for $5.

Greg Wrubell, the Voice of the Cougars, will emcee the event. Fans will also have the opportunity to hear from several coaches including BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall.

Prior to the Kickoff, fans can purchase game-worn apparel at the Cougar Sale starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Indoor Practice Facility. Everything from cleats to warm-ups for various sports will be available.

Admittance to the Cougar Kickoff is free. Parking is located north of Haws Field.
