PROVO -- The BYU Athletic Department received several honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) for its outstanding efforts in the 2009-10 season.

On the publications side, CoSIDA honored two BYU sport posters and one media guide produced by BYU’s Athletic Communications department. The Cougar football poster designed by Dave Broberg was named the best in the nation among football posters while the BYU men’s volleyball poster created by Kamie Robinson and Broberg also received top honors in the winter sport posters category. The men’s golf media guide produced by Jen Rothlisberger and Broberg was hailed as the third-best men’s golf media guide in the country for Division A.

"We strive hard to be the best in the nation at what we do," said Broberg, BYU's Athletic Creative Services Director. "It is nice to be recognized for all of the hard work that goes into preparing these publications.”

Award-winning BYU photographers Mark Philbrick and Jaren Wilkey also contributed to the creative process by providing all photography for the posters and media guide.

BYU’s Athletic Marketing Department also received recognition for outstanding achievement with two honors from NACMA. BYU took home the gold in the electronic promotion category for its online men’s basketball promotion featuring Ronnie Ron and Rosco and received bronze in the television commercial category for its men’s basketball spot.

“It’s really great to be honored by an organization with such national prestige,” said BYU Marketing Director David Almodova. “We are all very excited about BYU Athletics and want to do everything we can to spread that enthusiasm.”
