Position Description
Brigham Young University has an opening for a full-time Web Developer. This position is located in the Athletic Department. This position will be responsible to provide day-to-day operations and development of BYUcougars.com including, but not limited to the following responsibilities: design, create, review, test and deploy new web-based applications and interactive features, develop and maintain user interface tools, continued maintenance of web applications, oversee web server maintenance, hardware and software, manage relationships with web partners and the collocation facility, provide vision and direction for the future of BYUcougars.com, provide web support for 21 NCAA-sanctioned sports and several other areas of BYU Athletics, including but not limited to Development, Cougar Club, Sports Camps, Spirit Squad, Student-Athlete Center, Compliance, Sports Medicine, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Programming skills in JAVA (JSP), PHP, ASP, Drupal, ColdFusion and other programming platforms
- Familiar with JavaScript
- Proficient in HTML and CSS programming
- Understanding of AJAX concepts
- Basic understanding of XML
- Familiarity with commonly used application servers and web servers
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and graphic design
- Knowledge of and commitment to BYU Honor Code
