Glen Tuckett to be Honored by Varsity Club

On Friday, Sept. 15th at 5 p.m. the Varsity Club will be hosting a reception and steak fry honoring Glen Tuckett.

The banquet will be held at the BYU track pavilion in the northwest corner of the track. Anyone who would like to honor Coach Tuckett is welcome to come.

Coach Tuckett is this year's Varsity Club Foundation of Excellence Award Recipient. Former recipients Floyd Johnson and Rod Kimball, along with several of his former major league players will join him.

Join us for good food, entertainment and an opportunity to share special time with Glen and Jo Tuckett. The reception has been scheduled a day after the BYU/Mississippi State Football game so we can dedicate the evening to show appreciation for all Coach Tuckett has done for BYU.

Tuckett will also be honored with the Foundation of Excellence Award at halftime of the BYU/Mississippi State football game.

In other Varsity Club news the 1965 WAC Championship Football team will be honored during halftime of the (Sept. 23) BYU/UNLV game. The 1980 Miracle Bowl Football team will be honored during halftime of the (Oct. 21, Homecoming) BYU/San Diego State game.

The traditional Varsity Club Tailgate party will be held one hour and a half before every home game in the Stadium Mezzanine. Varsity Club members (all former BYU varstiy athletes) are invited to come.
