Former Cougars Give Free Seminars at BYU

PROVO -- Free monthly seminars sponsored by the Varsity Club will feature major leaguer Wally Joyner and his wife Leslie, former NFL player Todd Christensen, and Olympian Henry Marsh.

The monthly leadership seminars are open to all student-athletes as well as other students at the university. Varsity Club Members are also welcome at these events The seminar lasts for one hour, there is no charge, dress is student casual. The seminar will give the students the opportunity to hear experiences of former athletes who have excelled in their field or in their athletic endeavors.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Joseph Smith Auditorium - Wally Joyner of the Atlanta Braves and Leslie Johns Joyner, Wally's wife and former All-American gymnast at BYU will speak on their perception of the "Rules for Success."

On Wednesday, Mar. 15 at 7 p.m. the speaker will be Todd Christensen, former All-Pro Tight End for the Oakland Raiders.

The April date is yet to be announced.

On Thursday, May 18, in conjunction with the Mountain West Conference Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships, the featured speaker will be Henry Marsh, Olympic steeplechase participant.
