BYU Athletics and Skavengerz partner for Cougar Quest

PROVO, Utah – BYU Athletics has partnered with Skavengerz to launch Cougar Quest, an interactive fan experience throughout the duration of the football season.  

Fans download the free Skavengerz app and join the Cougar Quest where participants race the clock in a quest through a series of tasks, including trivia, Easter Eggs, riddles and more, all while competing for additional prizes begin a challenge of tasks. The core tasks can be completed at any time while bonus tasks will be revealed throughout the season (weekly, game day, events, etc.). Fans with the fastest overall times win.  

One lucky grand-prize winner will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience with an all-expense-paid trip for two with tickets to the first Big 12 BYU home game of the 2023 season. The ultimate game day experience also includes joining the team for the Cougar Walk pre-game, dinner with a BYU celebrity, Nike swag bag, and a behind the scene look at the football facilities.

Additional prizes include an Alumni Game weekend experience, spring practice experience and other bonus prizes such as signed footballs, Nike gear, tailgate kits, football helmet and more.  

More details:

• The person with the fastest completion time wins – not the first person to complete the challenges, so there is no need to complete the quest in one sitting. 
• The clock stops when a task is finished. Each task is timed and then added together to determine the overall time. 
• A replay option is available to improve the competitor's time and move up the leaderboard. 
• The "Ode to Independence" Cougar Quest opens Sept. 3 and runs through Nov. 26.
• Bonus tasks and prizes are available now. BYU fans can download the Skavengerz app from the app store or at skavengerz.com.
