FARMINGTON, Utah — A strong showing of Cougar Nation gathered in Farmington on Wednesday night to meet and interact with BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake and more than 50 student-athletes at the BYU Fan Fest held at Legacy Events Center.

The first of two BYU Fan Fest events this spring, the Farmington Fan Fest featured members of the football, men’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, gymnastics and cheer teams. Fans had the chance to put their skills to the test doing drills with BYU athletes as well as participating in other games and festivities such as an inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses, lawn games, face painting, caricature artists, ballon artists and pictures with Cosmo.

BYU prizes, Nike gear and football ticket giveaways were all part of the event. Cougar Club, BYU Alumni, football tickets and tailgating information were all part of the offerings as well as BYU Store merchandise and food concessions, including CougarTails and BYU Creamery ice cream.

Similar to the Cougar Kickoff held in Provo each year in August, BYU Fan Fest events are a tradition that began in 2013 to give Cougar fans in other communities the opportunity to meet and interact with BYU student-athletes.

UP NEXT — May 21 in St. George featuring BYU Sports Nation
The next Fan Fest takes place in St. George on Saturday, May 21. The event runs from 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Sandtown Park (600 N Bluff St, St. George, UT 84770). Athletes from football, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, gymnastics and cheer are all scheduled to participate along with Cosmo.

BYUtv will also broadcast live from the Fan Fest in St. George, giving fans not able to attend the chance to follow the Fan Fest from home or on the go. A special one-hour Saturday episode of BYU Sports Nation will be broadcast live on site from Sandtown Park at 10 a.m. MT.  Fans attending will also have opportunities to meet BYUtv Sports broadcasters following the show.
