Voice-over with Greg & Shep debuts on BYUtv Sports YouTube Channel

PROVO, Utah — BYU fans can now enjoy a new online sports interview show featuring weekly in-depth conversations with coaches, players and media personalities.

A new BYUtv Sports Digital program, Voice-over with Greg & Shep is hosted by ‘Voice of the Cougars’ Greg Wrubell and longtime BYU sports broadcaster Jason Shepherd.

“This show lets us continue to engage with Cougar Nation during a time when games are not being played,” Wrubell said. “Shep and I have been on the air together for years, so this feels pretty normal, even though our current situation is anything but.”

This week's episode of the show features a conversation with veteran ESPN play-by-play broadcaster Roxy Bernstein to discuss his personal perspective on the COVID-19 crisis, his career and the Cougars.

“I love the ability to talk to our guests about more than just the games,” Shepherd said. “The format allows us to take our time with the guests, and learn more about their careers, personalities and backgrounds.”

Bernstein's career as a play-by-play commentator has included many occasions of covering BYU games. The San Francisco Bay Area native boasts an extensive sports broadcasting resume that includes covering men’s and women’s college basketball, college football and baseball as well as professional baseball and hockey.

Fans can watch for current and on-demand episodes of Voice-over with Greg & Shep on the BYUtv Sports YouTube channel and via BYUtv Sports’ social media platforms.

Audio versions of the show can be found on the “Behind the Mic with Greg Wrubell” podcast found at BYURadio.org and through podcast feeds available from podcast providers.
