Join BYU Athletics in celebrating our community with a 5K Fun Run and Heart Health Fair honoring BYU football legendary coach LaVell Edwards on Saturday, May 9. The event starts at 8 a.m. MDT at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

A fun community and family event coordinated by BYU Athletics and Brigham Young University, the Edwards Memorial Heart & Sole 5K will include a variety of festivities for local and campus communities to come together and enjoy the day.

The late Edwards' wife Patti will say a few words and pull the rope on the cannon to start the 5K run/walk. Among the other planned festivities taking place will be a Heart Health Fair put on by Intermountain Utah Valley Hospital, an obstacle course for children ages 3-12 organized by BYU student-athletes, food and prizes as well as autographs and photos with BYU athletics alumni and current athletes.

Parking for this event can be found in parking lot 2, west of LaVell Edwards Stadium (1700 N. Canyon Rd).

Not a fundraiser, registration proceeds go directly to supporting the event. Please select the following link to REGISTER. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for youth 14 and under. Group discounts are available.
