PROVO, Utah – Entering its fourth year, the Touchdown Club is a way for Cougar fans to celebrate BYU’s success on the field by making a donation for each touchdown BYU scores this season. One hundred percent of all donations are used to provide scholarships – primarily for former BYU walk-on football players who have earned a place on the team.

Perhaps more than any program in the nation, BYU has attracted and cultivated great walk-on players, including many who turned down scholarships from other schools to play for the Cougars.

With a minimum contribution of $1 per touchdown, BYU Touchdown Club members can choose their individual level of support for each touchdown scored. In 2013, these Touchdown Club donations totaled $34,462, fully funding nearly three full football scholarships through the support of more than 300 participants nationwide.

The Touchdown Club website (www.byutouchdownclub.com) automates the contribution process; payments can be made automatically with a credit or debit card. On the website fans can register to participate in the BYU Touchdown Club. Pledges are collected on a weekly basis, billed directly to each donor’s credit card of choice.

Past participants are automatically still enrolled for the 2014 season. In partnership with the BYU Army ROTC, members of the Touchdown Club will be on the field each game firing the Cougar Battalion’s “George Q” Cannon throughout the season when the Cougars score.
