BYU men finish top-50 in Capital One Cup
PROVO, Utah — Top-five finishes from cross country and volleyball helped the BYU men's athletic program rank No. 43 in the 2014 Capital One Cup.
Men's cross country earned eight points for its No. 4 finish while men's volleyball claimed 10 points for ranking No. 3 in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
The Cougars finished No. 46 last season.
Combined, 105 schools earned points in the Capital One Cup men’s standings. Schools earn points based on their teams’ top-10 finishes in NCAA Division I championships and in final official coaches’ polls across 19 men’s and 20 women’s sports as they compete to win the Capital One Cup trophy and a combined $400,000 in scholarships for student-athletes. The University of Notre Dame athletic program captured this year’s Capital One Cup for the men.
