BYU launches Cougar Social

PROVO, Utah – BYU Athletics is excited to announce Cougar Social, a new program that will give social media influencers and non-credentialed Cougar bloggers the experience of covering football and basketball games from the press box at LaVell Edwards Stadium and press row at the Marriott Center.

Up to three individuals will be selected per game to cover three of BYU’s five remaining home games. The three Cougar Social football games include: Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 27), Georgia Tech (Oct. 12) and Idaho State (Nov. 16). Basketball games will be announced at a later date.

Those interested in applying to Cougar Social need to complete two steps. First, fill out the application form on BYUcougars.com that provides basic contact and social media information. Second, submit evidence as to why you should be selected via social media using the hashtag #CougarSocial.

Fans will be selected to Cougar Social based on their social media influence and the creativity of their application.

Applications for the first Cougar Social Game, Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 27, will be accepted Sept. 16-20. Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@BYUcougars) for more information.
