NCAA National Office Internships

The NCAA offers an annual 12 month internship experience that begins in June, held in Indianapolis, Indiana. All interested applicants are required to complete the online application process which becomes available in the fall (September/October).The website is still in the process of being updated. THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 19, 2009. This program is a highly selective, paid internship experience with 19 available positions.

The areas of the NCAA that offer intern positions are administrative services; branding and communications: brand strategies and events, public and media relations, publishing/new media; championships; corporate and broadcast alliances; Division I men's and women's basketball; diversity and inclusion; education services; enforcement services; governance; membership services/student-athlete reinstatement, and the NCAA Eligibility Center. Applicants are able to request their top three areas of interest in which they prefer to serve.

Program Timeline:

1. Application deadline - December

2. National office review and selection process - January

3. Interview process - February

4. Selection of 19 candidates - February/March

5. House hunting trip for selected candidates – April/May

6. New intern class begins – June
