Rachel Higginson is the BYU Sports Dietitian. She has been employed here for a little over two years, but Rachel's ties to BYU athletics go back to 1983. In, 1983 a young promising BYU football player, Via Sikahema, put his career on hold for 2 years to serve a mission. While on his mission he met Rachel's father, Robert Dull, and taught him the gospel. Via's decision to serve a mission has come full circle bringing Rachel to the athletic department today!! Rachel received her bachelor's degree here at BYU followed by a one year internship at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. After completing her internship, she moved back to Utah to be with family. Eight months later she married her sweetheart Kevin Higginson. They now have a beautiful eight month old baby boy, Ty.

As the Sports Dietitian, Rachel's goal is to educate students on making healthy food choices for athletic performance as well as helping athletes create healthy habits for life.
