BYU Athletics has published a special coaches edition of The Athletes’ Journal — a series featuring Cougar athletes telling their story in their own words.

Diljeet Taylor, the BYU associate director of cross country and track and field, shares her journey to Provo, Utah, and the passion she has for the student-athletes she coaches. The 2018 West Coast Conference Women's Coach of the Year also depicts some of the challenges that come with attempting to find the balance of being a coach, wife and mother. Taylor, who has led the Cougars' women's cross country team to a top-15 finish at the NCAA Championships in each of her first three years on campus, expresses her ability to empower her athletes to attain their dreams while she in the midst of living hers.

The Athletes’ Journal series regularly features the unique perspectives of BYU student-athletes throughout the year. The series provides in-depth insight into the lives of members of BYU’s intercollegiate sports programs.
