WCC dubs Koerber as Defensive Player of the Week

SAN MATEO, Calif. – BYU opposite hitter Kenzie Koerber was named West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

This stands as Koerber’s third player of the week honor. Previously, sh was named Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 20 and Oct. 25.

This past week, Koerber played in all seven sets against Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. Defensively, she tallied nine total block assists and tacked on a solo block against LMU. In addition, she racked up 13 total digs.

Koerber contributed offensively as well. Combined, she hit 22 kills, holding an average clip of .364 for the week and had three service aces. 

This award marks the seventh WCC weekly honor collected by BYU players this season.
