PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will begin its spring campaign at the FAU Paradise Classic at Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida, Feb. 6-7.

"We are super excited to get out and compete," said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts.  "It is important that we get off to a good start this spring as we have some work to do in order to make the postseason, but that is the goal."

The Cougars look to make a move up the rankings in hopes of winning a fourth WCC title and returning to an NCAA Regional for the second-straight year. The BYU women earned two top-5 finishes during the fall to go along with Allysha Mae Mateo’s second career individual victory at the Miami Hurricane Invitational.

Mateo will be joined by Lila Galeai, Adeline Anderson, Annick Haczkiewicz and Alexa Udom as they take on the 14-team field.

The Cougars will take on No. 19 Vanderbilt, No. 47 Nebraska, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Missouri, South Florida, UTSA, Wisconsin and host FAU at the par-72 Osprey Point Golf Club.

The 54-hole championship will be played at the 6,204-yard course near the Florida Everglades. Live scoring for the FAU Paradise Invitational will be available at golfstat.com.
