PROVO, Utah (Feb. 2. 2011)—Back in Provo after splitting the weekend’s matches, the No. 43 BYU men’s tennis team welcomes Montana State to the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts for a little sibling rivalry.
Sophomore Ricardo Campos will have a chance to show his brother, Montana State freshman Diego Campos, the winning tradition of BYU tennis. The brothers are from Mexico City, Mexico.
BYU’s No. 110 Evan Urbina holds the record for most wins this season, with an 18-7 record. Freshman No. 88 Patrick Kawka comes in second at 15-7, and together they have an 11-6 doubles record. No. 44 Thomas Shubert and Salt Lake City native Spencer Smith are next in doubles, having a 7-4 record.
As part of BYU’s new Casting Call program, Mallory Curtis and Sujeong Hwang of Edgemont Elementary will perform “America the Beautiful” before the match.
As always, free pizza and prizes are available at the match. Admission and parking are also free. Spectators may park in any of the “Y Lot” parking lots located to the west of the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.
