Cribbs and Nelson compete at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. — BYU diver Kennedy Cribbs and swimmer Tanner Nelson traveled to Georgia Tech to compete in the 2022 NCAA Swim and Dive Championships, with Nelson breaking multiple school records. 

The women's meet took place from March 16-19. Cribbs competed in the 1m and platform dive events in the women’s competition. She competed against 47 other divers, earning scores of 235.05 and 217.20 respectively.

The men's meet took place from March 23-26. Nelson broke two school records while competing in the men’s championships, beating career highs in two of the three events he swam. He swam a 4:17.28 in the 500-yard freestyle in his first event at the meet. He then earned career-high times of 3:42.87 in the 400-yard IM and 14:59.73 in the 1650-yard freestyle.
