Before BYU
A member of National Honor Society at Abingdon High...recipient of the school's DAB Citizenship Award...earned two letters in football and four in both basketball and track...first team all-district and second team all-region in football...named first team all-region and honorable mention All-American in basketball...coached by Randy Flinchum.
Participated in spring drills...had two kickoff returns for 35 yards in spring game...redshirted during the varsity season.
Joined teammate John Moala as a walk-on to BYU's basketball team in mid-January...had his knee scoped during two-a-days...saw playing time against Hawai`i.
Scored a TD during the Spring Game.
