Freshman Year 1998

Switched from quarterback to linebacker during spring drills...saw limited action at linebacker during 1998 season.

Sophmore Year 1999

Played in 10 of 11 regular-season games as a sophomore...ranked fifth among linebackers with 34 tackles (23 unassisted and 11 assisted), including five tackles for a net loss of 25 yards...recorded five quarterback hurries...sacked opposing quarterbacks four times for a total loss of 18 yards...earned coaches' award for linebackers in games against California and New Mexico...had one unassisted tackle for a loss of five yards against Marshall in the Motor City Bowl.

Junior Year 2000

Started all 12 games at the strong-side linebacker position...ranked third on the BYU roster with a career-high 63 tackles on the season, including 39 solo stops...produced 14 tackles for a loss of 61-yards, including four sacks for 21 yards...earned coaches' award for performances against Virginia, Air Force and New Mexico...recorded seven tackles against Virginia, including one sack for a loss of six yards...registered a season-high nine tackles against Air Force...had eight stops against Syracuse, including a season-high six unassisted tackles.

Senior Year 2001

Started 13-of-13 regular-season games for the Cougars and started during the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville...Honorable Mention All-MWC...Honorable Mention Media All-MWC...coaches awards against Nevada, Air Force and Mississippi State...recorded 89 tackles on the season, including 54 solos...had three sacks for a combined loss of 20 yards...recorded seven pass deflections...made three interceptions for a combined total of 83 yards (one for 60 yards against SDSU).
