Prepped at William S. Hart High...lettered twice in football and once in baseball...was Co-MVP of the Foothill League, All-CIF in division II, All-Los Angeles Times, All-Daily News, Santa Clarita Valley Back of the Year, Blue Chip All-American, KBET Offensive Player of the Year and team MVP...was a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete...was a punter, split end and strong safety...team was league champs with a 12-2 record...coached by Mike Herrington.

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year 1999

Participated in spring drills ... caught nine passes for 95 yards in spring action, including one reception for 10 yards in the Blue/White scrimmage. Missed the entire regular season with a knee injury.

Sophmore Year 2000

Earned Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors...saw action in five games at receiver...recorded five receptions on the season for 86 yards, including a 31-yard reception at Virginia, giving the Cougars first-and-goal at the UVA nine-yard line...the third-quarter reception led to BYU's first score, beginning a 21-point second-half, come-from-behind victory...also recorded a season-high 40-yard reception against New Mexico...recorded an important fourth-quarter, two-point conversion (from Brandon Dorman) against Utah, giving BYU a seven-point lead with :23 remaining.

Junior Year 2001

Started 12-of-13 regular-season games for the Cougars and started at wide receiver during the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville...part of a team that recorded its 12th undefeated season at home...received coaches award against San Diego State...made 27 receptions for 390 yards, including 64 yards against Utah State...registered a season-long 46-yard reception against Utah State...posted a season-high five receptions against Utah...scored two touchdowns on the season, including a crucial 45-yard touchdown reception at Mississippi State and had a season-high 86 yard receiving against the Bulldogs...one rush on the season for 12 yards against Colorado State...earned academic All-MWC honors...was one of four team captains.
