Before BYU
Played offensive and defensive tackle and played in the Idaho all-star North/South game...lettered in both football and track and went to state in shot put his senior year...coached by Steve Milbrant (Utah State).
Other College
Attended Walla Walla Community College in Washington for two years...honorable mention all-conference...recruited by Idaho State.
Started the first five games of the season until he required surgery on his neck...had eight tackles at UTEP...11 tackles, caused a fumble and had a pass deflection against Miami...selected as coaches player of the game against Miami...eight tackles and a quarterback hurry at Oregon.
Was cleared to play football, but did not participate in spring drills.
