Graduated in 1989 from Payson High...earned three letters in football, two in basketball and four in track...all-state in football...regional champion in both 400 meters and long-jump...state champion in 4x100 relay...coached by Bart Peery.

Played two years at Snow College...second team all-conference as a freshman...first team all-conference as a sophomore...NJCAA Academic All-America.
