Parents are Jimmie and Angie...served a mission to Guayaquil, Ecuador, from 1987-89...named MVP in track at Southern Utah State College in 1987, where he also was a JV basketball player...personal bests are 24-8 in the long jump, 10.61 in the 100 meters and 4.4 in the 40 yard dash...likes hunting...majoring in athletic training.

Before BYU

Attended Virgin Valley HIgh where he participated in football, basketball and track...was all-state as a running back and also all-state in basketball...was co-MVP of the team in football and helped team to state 1A title...broke state records in 100 and long jump.

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year 1990

Walked on in track and finished third in the long jump at the WAC Outdoor Championships...suited up for home football games...was the leading scorer on the junior varsity.

Sophmore Year 1991

Foot injury prevented him from competing in the WAC Outdoor Championships...earned All-American honors with the 4x100 relay team at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships that placed fifth in that event at Eugene, Oregon...started against Penn State and Air Force...caught a six-yard TD pass in the Pigskin Classic against Florida State...had knee surgery after the UCLA game.
