Was 10 of 23 for 158 yards with two TD passes in spring game, then two hours later recorded a save in a baseball game against Mesa State ... moved up to third string in spring drills ... was named MVP of the Riverside Baseball Invitational ... named WAC Freshman of the Year in baseball ... voted secont team all-region by the American Baseball Coaches Association ... selected as second team freshman All-America by Baseball America ... had a 2-3 record, six saves, averaged two strikeouts per inning, 74 in 37 innings ... had a 2.92 earned run average thas was as low as 1.20 in mid-season ... made 22 appearances and one start ... had he pitched 50 innings, his 18.0/nine inning average would have been an NCAA record ... was 20 of 32 for 279 yards and one TD pass against the Air Force Academy junior varsity.
