Parents are Mulivai and Laucky...does professional Polynesian dancing...first cousin to former BYU offensive tackle Wayne Faalafua...married Terry Fili in August, 1985...recruited by UNLV, Washington, Hawai'i, Nebraska, Arizona State and Arizona...majoring in recreation.

Before BYU

Prepped at Carson High, where he lettered in football and track...was a punter, offensive guard and defensive tackle...put the shot 54-10...voted best lineman of the year in the Harper League...team lost the city championships but won the league title...played in the summer Shrine and Lions games...coached by Gene Vollnagle (Pepperdine). Originally recruited to BYU with the freshman class of 1982.

Other College

Played for former Utah coach Wayne Howard at Long Beach City College, where he was All-American, two-time all-conference and all-state.
