Before BYU

  • Prepped at Lone Peak High School
  • As a sophomore, rushed 110 times for 618 yards and 11 touchdowns, caught 23 passes for 202 and another touchdown, and threw 34/53 for 388 yards and four more touchdowns
  • Named to the Region 4 first team as a sophomore and junior
  • His senior year, he had 1049 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns. He also played more time on defense where he had 21 tackles and two interceptions
  • Rated 3-stars in football by Rivals and Scout, who also ranked him the No. 1 wide receiver in the Utah class of 2013. ESPN rated him 3-stars as well and ranked him the No. 8 overall prospect from Utah
  • Recruited by Utah, Utah State, Boise State, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA
  • Also played basketball. In his senior season, he average 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds for the National Champion Knights and was named to the 5A All-State first team, as well as the Region 4 first team. He was an All-State third team (and Region 4 second team) selection as a junior and an honorable mention as a sophomore
