A three-year starter at Davis High School at both quarterback and defensive back ... also handled punting duties ... earned all-region honors and was named to the academic all-state team in both football and track with a cumulative 3.99 grade-point average ... a member of the National Honor Society ... captain of the state championship Davis HS track team where he was a two-time state finalist in the 110-meter hurdles and the 4x100-meter relay.
