Was Second Team All-District Seven ... was First-Team All-Western Division in the Skyline Conference ... had a 6-0 record with a 1.84 ERA in league games ... threw a perfect game on April, 18, 1961 in the second game of a doubleheader against Montana ... in that game he retired 21 batters in a row, six by strikeouts and 15 via groundouts or fly balls in the seven-inning contest which BYU won, 8-0 ... team qualified for the College World Series but did not go because of non-Sunday play policy at BYU.
