BYU starts WCC play on the road at San Diego
PROVO, Utah – BYU women's soccer begins its conference schedule on Friday, Oct. 3 on the road at San Diego. The game kicks at 7:30 p.m. PDT and will be broadcast on TheW.tv.
The Cougars (6-3-2) are on a five-game winning streak and have scored three or more goals in each of the past three games. During that five-game stretch, BYU has shut out its opponents three times.
The Toreros (4-4-2) are on a three-game win streak of their own. San Diego has beaten San Diego State, Oklahoma and Cal State Fullerton in the past two weeks, all coming at home. All four wins this season have come in San Diego for the Toreros and Friday's game is the fourth in the midst of a six-game homestand. The Toreros have played six ranked teams already this season, going 3-2-1 against top 25 opponents.
In last year's game in Provo, BYU won 1-0 as Marissa Nimmer scored the gamewinner in the 79th minute.
