ST. GEORGE, Utah — In the final round of the BYU at Entrada Classic, BYU women's golf shot 12 over to claim a commanding 23-stroke victory at the team's home event on Tuesday.

"I am very proud of my team," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "It feels good to get a win here. We have wanted it for a while. This is the first season in our program's history that we have won four tournaments in a single season."

The Cougars finished the classic at 24 over. BYU shot +5, +7 and +12 in the three respective 18-hole rounds of the event. BYU now has four first-place finishes in the 2015-16 season with the tournament win on Tuesday. For the fourth time this year, at least two out of the four scored BYU players finished in the top-10. Also, all five BYU players who competed for the team score finished in the top-20, as well as Lauren Atkinson, who competed as an individual.

Lea Garner finished the tournament in third place at 3 over. She now has four top-20 finishes this season and 24 in her BYU career. On the 17th hole during the final round on Tuesday, Garner stuck a fairway shot inches within the pin for a tap-in birdie. Garner finished Tuesday shooting a 77.

Shooting a 75 in Tuesday's round of 18, Rose Huang concluded the event in sixth place. Huang started off the final round strong, birdying the first hole, and ended strong with two pars. Huang has placed in the top-10 in both tournaments the Cougars have attended in the month of March.

Kendra Dalton placed in the top-20, shooting +13 for the event. Dalton shot par in the second round and finished the tournament tied for 12th place.

Brooklyn Hocker shot 73 for the day, shooting 35 on the front nine. Hocker birdied the par-3 fifth hole. Her birdie was one of the few made on the fifth hole, Tuesday. Hocker also birdied the 16th hole. Shooting +15 through 54 holes, Alexandra White finished the event tied for 17th place. White shot 75 in the final round, birdying the 14th hole.

The Cougars' next tournament will be April 8-9 at the Texas Tech Red Raider Invitational.
