BYU Athletics has published a new entry in The Athletes’ Journal — a series featuring Cougar athletes telling their story in their own words.

Peter Kuest, a junior from Fresno, California, on the BYU men’s golf team, shares how his competitive nature along with the influence of his dad led Kuest to new opportunities and new heights within the sport. Kuest, who was named WCC Player of the Year, a Division I PING All-American, ranked No. 1 in the Arnold Palmer Cup standings and won five tournaments during the 2018-19 season, also expounds on his unique journey to BYU and how his experiences with the program have prepared him for a future in golf.

The Athletes’ Journal series regularly features the unique perspectives of BYU student-athletes throughout the year. The series provides in-depth insight into the lives of members of BYU’s intercollegiate sports programs.
