Men travel to Stanford for The Goodwin
PROVO, Utah — After placing sixth in the Desert Shootout last week, BYU men’s golf travels to Palo Alto, California to participate in The Goodwin on Thursday.
Twenty-five teams will compete in the event: No. 4 USC, No. 10 Stanford, No. 17 North Carolina, Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Fresno State, LMU, Marquette, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Northwestern, Oregon, Pacific, Pepperdine, St. Mary’s, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Southern Methodist, UC Davis, UCLA, UNLV and USF.
The tournament will feature 54 holes of stroke play at the Stanford Golf Course. The par-70 course will play at 6,727 yards for The Goodwin.
Last week at the Desert Shootout, the Cougars posted two top 20 finishes: Patrick Fishburn (T7) and Spencer Dunaway (T15).
BYU will begin play Thursday at 7:30 a.m. PT. Teams will play 18 holes on Thursday and then 18 on Friday and Saturday. Scoring can be followed live.
