BYU at San Diego Game Notes

After a road sweep of San Francisco and Santa Clara, BYU basketball will play its final road game of the season Thursday when the Cougars play San Diego at 8 p.m. PST at Jenny Craig Pavilion. The two teams will play again Saturday at 7 p.m. MST in the Marriott Center.

Thursday's game will be televised live on ESPN and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143. Live video streaming will be available on WatchESPN.com.

BYU Storylines

  • Last week was BYU’s best week of offensive basketball this season as the Cougars averaged 105.0 points and 20.5 assists and shot 58.0 percent from the field and 57.5 percent from 3.
  • BYU’s starting guards Kyle Collinsworth, Chase Fischer and Nick Emery had their best combined week of the year as they averaged a combined 72.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 14.0 assists while shooting 66.7 percent from the field, 59.4 percent from 3 and 77.8 percent from the free-throw line.
  • Nick Emery was named the WCC Player of the Week and the CBS Sports Freshman of the Week after averaging 34.0 points. He set the BYU freshman record for points in a game with 37 at San Francisco and became the first Cougar freshman to score 30-plus in back-to-back games.
