Carlino named WCC Player of the Week
BYU sophomore guard Matt Carlino is the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Carlino averaged 20 points, five assists and 2.5 steals while shooting .464 from the field, .444 from three and 1.000 from the free throw line last week as BYU went 2-0 in league play. At Pepperdine, Carlino buried a three-pointer with just 14 seconds remaining to seal the BYU win. Two days later against Santa Clara, Carlino scored a season-high 28 points on 10 of 17 shooting , while adding six assists.
