PROVO, Utah — Today Breeze Airways debuted service from Provo, Utah, launching its first west coast base there, and has also announced a corporate sponsorship with BYU Athletics to become the Cougars’ official hometown airline.

Breeze will operate daily nonstop flights from both Provo and San Bernardino to San Francisco International Airport, with fares starting as low as $39 one way. In addition, the airline will offer one-stop/no plane change BreezeThru service between Provo and San Bernardino, via SFO.

The five-year agreement between Breeze and BYU Athletics will include involvement at football games in Cougar Canyon, plus sponsorships at other BYU athletic venues, as well as on BYUtv, BYU Radio and BYU social media. The partnership will also include helping fly BYU athletes to compete all over the country.

“As a former BYU student-athlete, I cannot wait to get out to some games and root on the Cougars this season,” said Tom Doxey, president of Breeze Airways.  “We couldn’t be more proud to be the hometown airline for BYU Athletics, and for Provo airport for that matter. We wish the student-athletes all the best this upcoming year and are excited to be involved with the department as it transitions into the Big 12.”

Breeze will add more destinations from Provo this year, including nonstop service to Las Vegas, starting Oct. 5, and to Los Angeles, starting Nov. 2.

“We are excited to partner with Breeze Airways,” said Casey Stauffer, BYU associate athletic director for corporate sponsorship. “As BYU Athletics continues to prepare for Big 12 Conference membership, we’re thankful to have excellent corporate partners coming aboard with us. It’s especially exciting to partner with businesses run by former Cougar student-athletes, like Tom and Breeze Airways.”
