Responsibilities

Thomas is responsible for the academic progress of the men's and women's volleyball teams, soccer team, and men and women's swimming/diving teams ensuring each athlete is on track for graduation. She specializes in career counseling, helping student-athletes choose an appropriate college major. She represents BYU and the Mountain West Conference serving on the National Advisory Board for Division 1A CHAMPS.

Education

Thomas holds a master's degree in counseling and guidance from Brigham Young University (1988) and a bachelor's degree in psychology also from Brigham Young University (1986).

Prior to BYU

Prior to coming to BYU, Thomas spent three years at Utah Valley State College as an advisor and career counselor. While there, she taught several classes on college success and career development. She also was involved in testing and counseling students with learning disabilities.
